Official Positions

Each post gives its holder a bonus, and the post shows who holds it and for how long. The Construction Minister and the Research Minister are mirror images of each other. The Civil Minister is the only post that touches resource output.

PositionBonus
Tactical Minister+20% hospital capacity, +20% healing speed
Defense Minister+20% soldier training limit, +20% training speed
Construction Minister+50% building speed, +25% research speed
Research Minister+50% research speed, +25% building speed
Civil Minister+100% food output, +100% metal output, +100% oil output

Minister posts are not the same as the alliance Cabinet. The Cabinet seats stay inside one alliance, and the alliance guide explains their jobs.

How to Apply

Open the window of a post to see the current holder with a timer, the bonuses and a list of queued applications. The list is called the auto-appointment list. It holds up to 50 players, shows each player's slot time in your local time, and spaces neighboring slots 5 minutes apart. The Journal and List buttons sit at the bottom, and a player without a post sees a green button to apply.

  1. Choose the post that matches your next long task from the table above.
  2. Open its window and press the apply button.
  3. Find your name in the list and note the slot time.
  4. Start the build, research or training that the post boosts when the slot opens.

One guide says that alliances appoint members and that each alliance sets its own process, so ask your officers if your alliance runs the posts by hand.

Timing and Terms

One guide reports that an appointment lasts about 1 minute of server time. Any action you start in that window keeps its bonus even if it finishes after your term ends, so timing matters more than duration. Two guides give the same advice: queue the actions the post boosts right when you are appointed, and take the post before a long build, research or training to save speedups.

For the Civil Minister, one guide says to collect resources once during the term and then let them build up in storage. In VS weeks, the Construction Minister queue on the build day can pass 50 players, so one guide advises placing small buildings early. The VS page shows which days reward building, research and training, and the research page shows what a long research costs.

This video follows a VS build day where the player takes office as Construction Minister before the build tasks.

President Buffs

The president sits above the minister posts. One guide lists a 5 percent bonus to attack, defense and health of heroes, and the right to send mail to every player on the server, with 200 diamonds in each letter. That makes the post valuable to the whole server, although the minister posts speed up your base far more.

The same guide says the presidency cannot be handed over separately from the alliance leader role, and that the fight for the post takes place on Fridays between Expedition Frenzy events. The weekly battle cycle is covered on the Capitol Conquest page, and the servers page explains how servers pair up.

Which Post to Pick

Match the post to the work you have queued. For a long upgrade, the Construction Minister gives +50% building speed and +25% research speed. For a research, the Research Minister reverses the numbers: +50% research and +25% building. Training heavy weeks suit the Defense Minister, and heavy fighting suits the Tactical Minister for hospital space.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are ministers in Z Route Redemption?

Ministers are 5 official positions that give the player who holds them a temporary server-wide buff. The posts are Tactical Minister, Defense Minister, Construction Minister, Research Minister, Civil Minister. Each one boosts a different activity, such as building, research, training, healing or resource output, so players take the post that matches the long task they are about to start.

What bonuses do the minister posts give?

The Construction Minister gives +50% building speed and +25% research speed, and the Research Minister does the reverse. The Civil Minister gives +100% food, metal and oil output. The Defense Minister boosts soldier training and the Tactical Minister boosts hospital capacity and healing speed, each by +20%.

How do I apply for a minister post?

Open the window of the post you want and press the green apply button. The window lists a queue of up to 50 players with the time each one takes the post, and the slots sit 5 minutes apart. Find your name and your slot time, then start your long build, research or training when the slot opens.

What does the president get?

The president gets 5 percent attack, defense and health for heroes and can send mail to every player on the server. One guide says each letter carries 200 diamonds. The post cannot be passed on by itself, because it moves together with the alliance leader role, and the fight for it takes place on Fridays between Expedition Frenzy events.

How long does a minister post last?

One guide reports that an appointment lasts about 1 minute of server time. That is short, but any action you start inside that window keeps the bonus even if it finishes after your term ends. Queue the actions the post boosts right when your slot opens, instead of preparing them afterward.

Can I hold two minister posts at once?

No. The position window shows a line saying you cannot apply for several posts at the same time, and an application that is waiting shows its activation date and time. Pick the post for your most important task, apply once, and use the slot for the longest build, research or training you have.
