Z Route: Redemption Tier List
Lucian, Leah, Monroe and 4 more UR heroes make S tier in the Z Route: Redemption tier list. Lucian is the safest pick, rated S in 6 of 6 popular tier lists. The ranking below combines 7 popular lists into one consensus, and the page was checked on .
How We Rank
We read 7 tier lists from guide sites, video creators and community sheets, published between June and October 2026. Each list uses its own letters, so we turn every letter into a score from 5 (S) to 1 (D), average the scores and map the average back to a tier. A plus or minus on a letter moves the score by a step in between.
Two of the 7 lists count at half weight: one is a formula built from stats and rarity and not from player votes, and the other repeats the ratings of a list we already use. The phrase "rated S in 6 of 7 lists" means that six of the lists we have for that hero put him in the tier shown. Not every list covers every hero, so the count out of 7 drops for some of them, down to 4 lists.
When the highest and lowest ratings of a hero are two tiers apart or more, ratings split on that hero. Those cases are explained in their own section below.
Tier List Table
The tables list every hero by consensus tier. The last column shows the lowest and highest rating any single list gave. The page for each hero, where one exists, explains skills and builds, and the squad rules are on the heroes page.

Best UR Heroes
The 15 UR heroes fill the top of the list. The order by average score is Lucian, Leah, Monroe, Arnold, Katya, Bekka, Vince, then Victor, Virgilio, Yana. The first seven make S tier, and Lucian, Leah and Monroe are the three Backline damage dealers that almost every list agrees on.
Tanks are less settled than damage dealers. Arnold is rated S in 6 of 7 popular tier lists, but one list drops him to B. Bekka is rated S in 5 of 7 popular tier lists, with the same low rating from one list. Both still stand at the front of the best squads, because no other UR tank beats them in a full faction squad.
| Faction | Frontline | Backline | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Arnold, S | Lucian, S | Carter, A |
| Tactical | Bekka, S | Leah, S | none |
| Assault | Vince, S | Victor, A | none |
The table shows the best hero for each faction and position, taken from the average score across all rarities.
Best SSR Heroes
SSR heroes top out at A tier. By average score the order is Toxina, Aria, Celeste, Zara, Logan. Toxina is the best purple Warrior tank until UR tanks arrive, Celeste tops the purple attack chart in one guide, and Aria is the simplest purple damage dealer to get. The SSR and SR page goes through all of them.
Where Ratings Split
Four SSR heroes split the lists more than any others: Zara, Kim Mina, Toxina and Aria. The table counts how many lists give each letter.
| Hero | Consensus | Lists by tier | Why the lists differ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zara | A, average | S in 2, B in 3, C in 1 | She has the biggest HP pool among SSR heroes and the lowest attack, and her Roar and passive reduce monster damage only. Two lists give her S, the stats-based list gives her C, and the rest sit in between. |
| Kim Mina | B, average | S in 1, A in 1, C in 4 | Her passive boosts back-row allies against monsters only. One list praises her balanced kit and puts her near the top, while most place her at C. |
| Toxina | A, 2 of 6 | S in 2, A in 1, B in 2, C in 1 | A solid Warrior tank with an attack debuff, but her passive works against monsters only. Two lists give her S, one gives A, and the others put her at B or C. |
| Aria | A, 2 of 7 | S in 2, A in 2, B in 2, C in 1 | Her passive buffs back-row Warriors against monsters only. Her battle skill still hits hard and her shards drop often in early events, so most lists keep her at A or B while two give her S. |
The "average" label means the lists scatter so widely that no single list matches the consensus tier. For Zara and Kim Mina, treat the tier as a rough middle and decide by the game mode you play most.
Best Team
The strongest lineup is the five UR Warriors: Monroe, Lucian and Carter shoot and buff from the back row while Arnold and Dirk hold the line. The bonus for five matching heroes is 20%, and the roles are covered too: two tanks, two damage dealers and a buffer. Leah's Tactical squad is the usual counter. The squad guide lists the best team for each faction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the best hero in Z Route Redemption?
Lucian leads the consensus: all 6 lists that rate him give him S tier. Leah and Monroe follow, each rated S in 6 of 7 lists. All three are Backline UR damage dealers, so they need a tank in front, and Arnold is the usual choice.
Is UR always better than SSR?
Almost always. Even at 3 stars, a gold hero generally outperforms a purple hero at 5 stars, so UR heroes should get your shards and skill books first. Purple heroes bridge the gap while UR shards trickle in, and a few stay useful against monsters. No SSR hero reaches S tier on the consensus.
Which SSR heroes are worth building?
Four SSR heroes reach A tier: Toxina, Aria, Celeste and Zara. Toxina and Zara tank for a purple Warrior squad, while Aria and Celeste deal damage from the back row. Their ratings vary a lot between lists, so build the one that fits your faction and the content you play.
Which faction is best?
No faction wins outright. Warrior has the deepest UR roster and the safest first squad, Tactical counters Warrior, and Assault counters Tactical. S tier holds heroes from all three factions. Pick one faction for your main squad and use the counter triangle when you face a specific opponent.
Should I replace my hero when a tier list ranks another one higher?
Not just for that reason. Compare level, stars, skills, gear and role first, because a developed hero often beats a higher-ranked hero with no investment. Tier lists are opinions that differ by site and by game mode, and upgrades cannot be reset once you spend them.
How often does the tier list change?
The ratings come from 7 lists published between June and October 2026, and this page was checked on October 27, 2026. New heroes and patches change the order, so the page is updated when the lists move. Check the date at the top before you spend rare shards.
