World Map in Z Route: Redemption
The world map is where your base, resource tiles, enemy bases, cities and event grounds share one space. This page explains the community zone grid with its codes, how cities and rotation work, the Farm, Foundry and Oil Well tiles, the three relocators, the Dark Zone and the Rusty City field.
World Map Explained
The map is the open space outside your base. You send squads from the base to gather on resource tiles, attack other commanders, join sieges against cities and move the base itself with a relocator. Nearly every PvP mode starts here, from the PvP guide topics such as rallies to the Capitol fight described on the Capitol page.
Marches take time, and a long march straight at a target warns it. The resources page shows what gathering brings and how to use it.
Map Zones and Codes
Players split the world map into labeled regions called zones. Each zone has a code made of a letter and a number, for example B7, J1 or P1, so an alliance can call a rally at J1 instead of sharing raw coordinates. Each region also shows a numbered badge from 1 to 7.
| Part of the grid | What guides say |
|---|---|
| Zone code | A letter plus a number, used for quick call-outs in alliance chat |
| Badge | A number from 1 to 7; level generally falls toward the map edges |
| Zone P1 | The only level 7 zone, near the center of the map |
Cities and Rotation
Cities are the big targets on the map. Alliances capture them in sieges during City Conquest, and one guide confirms that personal occupation points come only from taking part in real city sieges. Random player attacks, normal zombie farming and ordinary map activity do not add to them. If your total does not move, check that you joined a qualifying siege with your alliance.
Rotation means cities change hands from one alliance to another. A community tool mirrors one alliance's rotation map with 91 cities, and for each city it shows the current owner, the level, the city type and the buff. Officers of that alliance manage the map in a private command center. How rotation works on your own server is set by the alliances that play on it, so ask your leaders. The alliance page covers ranks and rally roles.
Resource Tiles
Three kinds of tiles feed your stock. One guide lists two node sets for each, so levels run from 1 to 10 in one set and from 1 to 12 in the other, and it notes that server and season availability can differ.
| Resource | Tile name | Node levels |
|---|---|---|
| Food | Farm | 1-10 and 1-12 |
| Metal | Foundry | 1-10 and 1-12 |
| Oil | Oil Extraction Well | 1-10 and 1-12 |
A march guide uses the names Farm, Oil Field and Steel Mine for the same tiles. Gathering is also a way to hide an attack: one guide describes marching toward a tile near the target first and redirecting late, so the enemy sees a normal gathering march. The details are in the PvP section.
Relocator and Teleports
A relocator moves your base on the map. Three kinds exist, and they differ in where they put you.
| Relocator | Destination | Alliance Coins in the alliance shop |
|---|---|---|
| Advanced | Any clear spot on the map. | 7,500 |
| Alliance | Alliance territory. | 2,500 |
| Random | Random spot. | - |
One guide calls the alliance shop the cheapest regular source of the advanced relocator. The random one is the emergency choice, since it can save your troops when someone is attacking and you have no time to pick a spot. A teleport also dodges an incoming squad, because the enemy has to walk to your old place and then back.
Free teleports have a cooldown. One guide gives 5 minutes for the Capitol expedition event, and another says the free teleport into a warzone works every 5 minutes during the season. For Mad Vein, one guide says to enter through the event window and use the event relocation, not a normal random teleport. See the events page for the event list.
Dark Zone
The Dark Zone is the brown territory around the Capitol. Shields cannot be raised there, so a base inside it loses its protection from attacks and scouting. Another update mentions Dark Land, where shields cannot be activated either, and says relocation into it now shows clearer tile warnings.
This early game walkthrough includes the first marches across the world map.
Rusty City and Pandora
Rusty City is a small battlefield with 5 players per team, described by players as a mini Pandora. You get 15 seconds of preparation before the fight, and the teleport cooldown is 1 minute. One guide says soldiers cannot be healed there, which makes every squad count.
To score, a team holds one of 2 power plants, one of 2 gun towers or the central building. The battle fortress in the center loses its shield at minute 3, and capturing it pays very large points. Leaving a building hands its points to the enemy.
Battlefield Pandora is the large version, played between two alliances on its own map. Its buildings open in 3 phases, at minute 0, 10, 13 of the battle. Rosters, building effects and rewards are on the Pandora page.
Mad Vein is another map event. Its ore veins come in three kinds, and veins near the volcano are more numerous and more valuable.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the zone codes on the Z Route Redemption map?
Zone codes are a letter plus a number, such as J1 or P1, from a community-made grid that splits the world map into labeled regions. Alliances use them to call out a place in chat instead of typing coordinates. Each region also shows a badge from 1 to 7. Check the region info in the game to see what the badge governs.
How do I move my base on the map?
Use a relocator. The advanced relocator moves you to any clear spot, the alliance relocator moves you into alliance territory, and the random relocator drops you on a random spot. One guide says the alliance shop sells the advanced one for 7,500 Alliance Coins and the alliance one for 2,500.
What resource tiles are on the world map?
Food comes from Farm tiles, Metal from Foundry tiles and Oil from Oil Extraction Well tiles. One guide lists two node sets for each resource, with levels 1-10 and 1-12. A march guide uses the names Farm, Oil Field and Steel Mine. Send gatherers to the highest level your squad can reach safely.
How do cities rotate on the world map?
Alliances take cities by sieging them, and personal occupation points come only from qualifying sieges. A community tool mirrors one alliance's rotation map with 91 cities and shows owner, level, city type and buff for each. No guide states one fixed rotation rule for every server, so follow your alliance leaders.
What is Rusty City?
Rusty City is a small battlefield with 5 players per team, often called a mini Pandora. Teams hold power plants, gun towers and a central building to score. One guide says soldiers cannot be healed there, so each squad matters. The big version of the same idea is Battlefield Pandora.
