Base Skins and Decorations in Z Route: Redemption

Published: 2026-10-27

Decorations are items you place in your base, and they give flat Hero ATK, DEF and HP, so they are not just cosmetics. Base skins, avatar frames and effects are a second kind of look item that gives percent bonuses. The Decoration Center, which opens at Base 9, holds your collection, and the sections below cover bonuses, sources and frames.

Decoration Center

The Decoration Center is an economy building that opens at Base 9. It cannot be upgraded, so you build it once. It covers these functions: Decoration Gallery; Decoration Power; Collection Progress across UR, SSR and SR; Decoration Bonus Details (Hero ATK, DEF, HP). The base table lists everything else that opens at the same level.

Decorations show up in Hero Details under Building Bonus, and outfits show as Outfit. That split matters for planning, because one guide says you want both kinds.

Decoration Bonuses

One guide lists in-game values for decorations at the levels it owned, together with the next level where known. The examples show the size of each jump.

10 of the 19 decorations with a known next level double their bonus at that step. The statue sets follow a pattern: Lion statues give HP, Wolf statues give DEF, Eagle statues give ATK, each in Gold, Silver, Bronze tiers. The bonus goes to every hero, not only to the matching faction. Higher levels reach far: at level 5 the Radiation Shelter and the Golden Hank Statue preview 55,000 HP, 1,309 ATK and 261 DEF, and the Wasteland Falcon previews 1,964 ATK.

Level-Up Order

Start with the biggest jump from the current level to the next one. Choose HP first if your squad dies early, and ATK next if fights run too slowly. Free players should not skip decorations, because the bonus goes to every hero.

Special cases follow the same logic. The Statue of Liberty adds crit damage, and the Tesla Tower adds building speed that stacks with VIP and other speed bonuses, so it fits when builds are slow.

Get Decorations

Decorations come from many places, and the sources differ in value. One guide gives this list:

The UR decoration chest holds Gold Lion Statue, Gold Wolf Statue, Gold Eagle Statue, Clock Tower, Arcade Memorial Wall, Merry-Go-Round, Mini Golf Course.

Base Skins

Guides use base skin, city skin and outfit for the same idea. One guide names the Gamma Terminator as a Season Boost reward on day 1 of Season I, and during the season the base uses it for extra virus capacity and other bonuses. The Season 1 page covers the season.

The Season shop sells Eye of Judgment and Golden Hand Statue, which the guide calls the decoration and city skin items. The city skin is permanent, and free players rarely get one. The Oasis Market shop also lists a base skin for 4,000 dew coins, with a limit of 1 per player. Outfits give percent bonuses.

Avatar Frames

Frames and avatar items come from a handful of sources:

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between decorations and base skins?

Decorations are items you place in your base, and they give flat Hero ATK, DEF and HP, with a few giving economy bonuses. Base skins, avatar frames and effects are outfits that give percent bonuses instead. One guide says you want both, since the two kinds do not replace each other.

What does the Decoration Center do?

The Decoration Center is an economy building that opens at Base 9 and cannot be upgraded. It holds the Decoration Gallery, shows your Decoration Power, tracks collection progress across UR, SSR and SR decorations and lists the bonus details for Hero ATK, DEF and HP.

Are decorations worth it for free players?

Yes. Decorations are not cosmetic, because their bonus goes to every hero, and one guide measured decorations and building bonuses together at about 8 percent of an account's power. The Mission Readiness ranking gives an SSR decoration chest to everyone who ranks well, and the Trial shop offers a chance at the Statue of Glory.

Which decorations should I level first?

Level the decorations that double at the next level first, then pick by need: HP if your squad dies early, ATK if fights are too slow. The Eagle statues, Golden Hoof and Triumphal Arch give ATK, and the Statue of Liberty adds crit damage. Economy decorations such as the Tesla Tower help when builds are slow.

Do base skins give bonuses?

Outfits, which include base skins, avatar frames and effects, give percent bonuses and show as Outfit in Hero Details. The Gamma Terminator base skin gives extra virus capacity and other bonuses during Season 1. Free players rarely get a city skin, and the one in the Season shop is permanent.
