Victor in Z Route: Redemption
Victor is a UR Assault Backline damage dealer with a A rating in 4 of 6 popular lists, as the tier list shows. His auto attack always picks the enemy with the lowest HP percentage, and his Clockwork Blade stacks ATK for the whole battle. He wins long fights and boss fights rather than the opening burst.
Victor Skills
Victor has an auto attack, a blade skill, a crit passive and Doomsday Judgment, shared by all UR heroes. Two of them are tuned for fights that last. Levels and stars follow the common rules on the heroes page, so the table lists only his own values.
| Skill | Type | Unlocks at | Effect | Star upgrades |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cartridge Submachine Gun | Auto attack | Always on | Always shoots the enemy with the lowest HP percentage, so it works as a cleanup attack. | Bonus damage grows with every star. |
| Clockwork Blade | Active battle skill | Hero level 5 | Throws blades 3 times at random enemies, back row included. From 2 stars each cast adds ATK to Victor, and the stack has no limit until the battle ends. | Bonus damage of 35% at 1 star, 70% at 3 stars and 120% at 5 stars. ATK stack of 5% per cast at 2 stars and 10% at 4 stars. |
| Mechanic | Passive, personal | Hero level 21 | Raises Victor's own critical hit chance. It does not buff the row. | Grows with every star, up to +15% at 5 stars. |
| Doomsday Judgment | Specialty skill, personal | Hero level 31 and 4 stars | Raises ATK, DEF and HP by 20% and cooldown speed by 10%. | None, the effect is the same at every star. |
Clockwork Blade Stacking
The blade skill is the reason to raise Victor. Every cast throws 3 blades, and from 2 stars every cast also gives Victor a permanent ATK bonus of 5%. At 4 stars each cast gives 10%. Nothing caps the stack, and it lasts until the battle ends, so the damage per hit rises with every cast.
That design has a clear price. A short fight ends before the stack builds, and a Victor at 1 star throws the blades without any stack at all. Against a boss or a long arena fight, the same skill grows stronger each cast.
Skill Priority
- Clockwork Blade. It carries the ATK stack, so level it first and reach 2 stars early.
- Cartridge Submachine Gun. It is the cleanup attack between casts.
- Mechanic. It adds crit chance for Victor alone and does not buff the row.
- Doomsday Judgment. It waits for hero level 31 and 4 stars.
Stats and Gear
With 5 stars at level 150 and no equipment, Victor reaches 24,652 ATK, 420,216 HP, 3,102 DEF and 351 command, which makes 1,071,383 power. His attack is close to Silas (24,710) and a little below Yana (25,850). One guide ranks his power last among the UR heroes, so his value comes from the skill kit and not from raw numbers.
Gear him like any attacker and put levels into the Rifle and the Scope first. The gear page explains the slots and upgrades.
How to Get Victor
The Tavern has him in its pool, and a special sale offer sells him as well. Keep your shards for stars, since the key effect of Clockwork Blade opens at the second star. Do not rush shards into him before your first Warrior squad is built: Monroe and Arnold come first, then Bekka or Carter.
Best Team for Victor
Victor's home is the all-Assault lineup, which earns a 20% faction bonus. Vince and Vera hold the front row. Nicole, Victor, Yana stand behind them, with Victor in the back center next to Yana.
| Partner | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Yana | Her Radiation pressure and his shots at the weakest target finish fights together. Victor takes the back center slot beside her. |
| Nicole | The other Assault back-row hero. She hits all enemies, while Victor's blades fall on random ones. |
| Vince | A front-row tank that holds the enemy in place while Victor and Yana shoot. |
| Vera | The second Assault tank. She counterattacks, and keeps the front row standing while the stack builds. |
The squad guide shows how an Assault squad compares with Warrior and Tactical formations.
Is Victor Worth It?
Yes, once you have an Assault squad. 4 of 6 lists rate him A, and 2 more rate him S. Do not raise him for the opening burst: Lucian and Yana win the first damage check, while Victor wins long fights and bosses. One guide rates him excellent for bosses and fair for the arena.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Victor good in Z Route Redemption?
Yes, mainly for long fights and bosses. Victor is rated A in 4 of 6 popular tier lists, and 2 more lists put him at S. His blades stack ATK with no cap, and his auto attack finishes the weakest enemy. He is a poor pick for burst, where Lucian and Yana do better.
How do I get Victor?
He is in the Tavern pool and is also sold in a special sale offer. Some guides list in-game events as well, and offers change over time, so look at the shop. Put the shards into stars, because his key effect opens at the second star.
Which Victor skill should I level first?
Clockwork Blade comes first, because the ATK stack that defines Victor belongs to it. His Cartridge Submachine Gun is second, Mechanic third, and Doomsday Judgment last, since it needs hero level 31 and 4 stars. Raise stars early, because the stack starts only at 2 stars.
What does Clockwork Blade do?
It throws blades at random enemies 3 times per cast, and they can reach the back row. From 2 stars each cast also adds 5% ATK to Victor, and at 4 stars the gain is 10% per cast. The stack has no limit and lasts until the battle ends, so Victor grows stronger the longer a fight runs.
Who is the best partner for Victor?
Yana. Her Radiation pressure and his finishing shots work together, and Victor stands in the back center next to her. Nicole is the other Assault back-row hero, and she hits all enemies while his blades are random. In front, Vince or Vera hold the enemy while the two of them shoot.
Should I raise Victor early?
No. Build the first Warrior squad with Monroe and Arnold, then add Bekka or Carter, and keep Victor for the stage when you build an Assault squad. Assault is worth the most against Tactical lineups. If you do start him, spend shards on stars so that the ATK stack opens.
