Nora in Z Route: Redemption

Published: 2026-10-27

Nora is an SSR Warrior Backline hero who stars up quickly and helps you farm resources from zombies. She is rated B on average in 3 of 7 popular lists on the tier list page, and she fades once gold Warriors arrive. Searches for a Nora awakening have an honest answer below: the game has no such mechanic, only a plan of stars and skills.

Nora Skills

Nora has an auto attack, an active skill, a passive and the purple specialty skill. Her auto attack hits two random enemies. Guides name that weapon differently, a rocket launcher in most and a crossbow in one, so check the skill card in the game. The heroes page covers how levels and stars work for every hero.

SkillTypeEffectStar upgrades
Auto attack Auto attack Hits 2 random enemies. Bonus damage of 25% at 1 star, up to 155% at 5 stars.
Scavenger Active battle skill Launches serum rockets and, for 7 seconds, raises the damage the targets take from monsters by 9%. One guide lists a 9.3 second cooldown. Same bonus ladder: 25%, 40%, 75%, 105%, 155%. The 9% effect stays fixed.
Treasure Hunter Passive, monsters and gathering only More damage to monsters and more resources from gathering. It does nothing against players. Monster damage 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15% and resource gain 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% at stars 1 to 5.
Wasteland Wanderer Personal specialty skill Personal bonus of 10% ATK, DEF and HP, open at level 31 with 4 stars. None.

The size of the resource bonus after zombie kills depends on skill level, and guides quote different figures for it, so this page gives the per-star steps and no total. Read the passive card in the game to see your current value.

Nora Awakening Plan

There is no hero awakening in Z Route: Redemption, and none of the sources describes a gold UR version of Nora. The nearest word in the game is Power Awakening, a daily event that rewards the power you gain. A hero's real growth comes from the steps below, and that is the plan players mean by an awakening plan.

  1. Get Nora to 3 stars cheaply. Her shards come from several early sources, and the first stars raise both rocket skills by up to 75% bonus damage.
  2. Level Scavenger for campaign damage, or Treasure Hunter first if farming zombies is your only use for her. Guides split on this order.
  3. Reach 4 stars and hero level 31 to unlock Wasteland Wanderer for the 10% stat bonus.
  4. Take her to 5 stars only if she stays in your farming squad. Treasure Hunter then gives 25% resource gain and 15% monster damage.

Stop there. A Russian-language guide advises against spending gold shards on her.

How to Get Nora

Nora joins early in the story. The game shows a healing scene with the line "Heal Nora before the countdown ends", and once the healing is complete she joins your team. After that you need shards to raise her stars. The Road to Survival starter event lasts 7 days and opens at Base level 4. One guide says its five score chests pay 100 Nora shards in total and that recruiting her takes 10, so the event alone is enough. Extra shards drop from some radar missions, the clown event and antidote collection in the early game, and from draws. The event numbers come from one source, so confirm them on your own account.

Stats and Gear

The guide sample for a maxed Nora, level 150 with 5 stars and bare gear slots, gives 13,880 ATK, 350,330 HP, 2,157 DEF and 351 command, for 849,186 power. That puts her seventh for attack and sixth for HP among the 12 SSR heroes, a little sturdier than Aria and weaker in damage. Gear her like a back-row attacker, Rifle and Scope first, and keep a farming squad on cheap gear.

Best Team for Nora

Pair her with Zara. The free-to-play Warrior bridge puts Zara in front and Nora behind, and it covers campaign, garrison and Freight Train until gold heroes arrive. A starting purple squad adds Toxina in front and Rachel, Nora and Aria in the back.

PartnerWhy it works
Zara Best SSR tank beside the best early SSR back-row shooter. Both star up fast.
Aria Her Zombie Hunter passive buffs back-row Warriors, Nora included, against monsters.
Monroe and Carter An early Warrior back row with Carter as the third body beside Monroe and Nora.

When you farm, swap Nora in for Rachel. Gold Warriors push her out later: Lucian from the Hero Pass takes her place next to Monroe once he has stars. The squad guide shows the full formations.

Nora or Aria

Aria rates higher and buffs the Warriors beside her, while Nora pays back in resources. If shards allow only one, raise Aria. The full side-by-side table is on the Aria page.

Is Nora Worth It?

Yes for the first weeks and for farming, no as a long-term main hero. She rates B with 3 of 7 lists agreeing, and lists range from C to A. Treat her as a bridge that costs few resources, then move shards to gold heroes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Nora have an awakening in Z Route?

No. The game has no hero awakening mechanic, and no UR version of Nora exists in any source we checked. Heroes grow through stars, skill levels and the specialty skill. The word awakening only appears in the Power Awakening daily event, which rewards power gained. The upgrade plan above is the real answer to this search.

Is Nora worth upgrading?

For the early game and resource farming, yes. She stars up fast and her Treasure Hunter passive adds up to 25% resource gain at 5 stars. For main squads, no: the tier lists give her B on average with 3 of 7 lists agreeing, and gold heroes replace her. One Russian-language guide advises against spending gold shards on her.

Which Nora skill should I level first?

It depends on your goal. One guide levels Scavenger first, since it is her burst skill, and keeps Treasure Hunter for last. Another levels Treasure Hunter first while you farm zombies. Pick Scavenger for campaign damage and Treasure Hunter if resource gathering is your only use for her.

How do I get Nora?

Nora joins your team in an early story scene once you finish healing her. For her stars, one guide says the Road to Survival starter event pays her shards, opening at Base level 4, with five score chests paying 100 Nora shards and recruiting needing 10. Shards also drop from radar missions, the clown event and draws. Confirm the event numbers in the game, because they come from a single guide.

Who is the best partner for Nora?

Zara. The pair is called the free-to-play Warrior bridge: Zara is the best SSR tank and Nora the best early SSR back-row shooter, and both star up fast. Rachel and Aria fit beside Nora in the back row, and Monroe and Carter join her when you own them.

Does Nora work in PvP?

Not well. Treasure Hunter does nothing against players, and one guide rates her Fair for PvP and arena. A Russian-language guide tells players to keep her out of squads that fight other players. Use her on the squad that attacks monsters and resource zombies instead.
